how our garments are made

Linen

Evidence exists that human beings have been wearing garments made of linen for millennia. Europe particularly has the oldest history of flax cultivation, the plant whose fibrous stalk is used to make linen. And there’s many reasons why the textile has endured for so long. They include the fact that it’s durable, keeps you cool, and only gets softer and more supple over time. And you don’t have to worry about creases, that’s part of the fabric’s charm. We source our linen and linen blends from the Albini Group, an over 140-year-old Italian producer of the finest textiles. Founded in 1876, the Bergamo-based family business is a preferred fabric supplier to some of the most renowned luxury houses. From crop cultivation to spinning and weaving, they guarantee every step in their production process to promise the most impeccable quality. Their linen is light, breathable and will look just as good it feels on the skin.

Cotton twill

Just like linen, cotton is known for its versatility and skin-friendly properties. Our woven cotton twill will last you for countless wears and acquires a gentle patina over time. In order to ensure our garments are made sustainably, we work with suppliers who can guarantee that. Situated in the heart of the Calder Valley in West Yorkshire, UK, Brisbane Moss has been producing fabrics since the first half of the 19th century. Founded in an area that has a long heritage of textile manufacturing, this highly specialised 140-year-old company supplies to some of the world’s leading fashion houses. Their cotton weaves are soft, resilient, and luxurious.
